Učenje angleškega jezika v predšolskem obdobju preko gibalnih dejavnosti : diplomsko delo

Abstract
V diplomski nalogi sem raziskovala, ali gibalne igre motivirajo otroke pri učenju angleškega jezika in ali bi se angleški jezik lahko vključil v obstoječ letni delovni načrt vrtcev. V teoretičnem delu sem pisala o zgodnjem poučevanju tujih jezikov v Sloveniji, nato pa še o razširjenosti le-tega v Evropi. Vključila sem tudi razloge in prednosti za poučevanje tujega jezika v predšolski dobi, primerne pristope za poučevanje in stališča Bele knjige o vzgoji in izobraževanju tujih jezikov v vrtcu. Pri tem je največ pozornosti dobil pristop celostnega telesnega odziva, ki je glavna tema diplomskega dela. Empirični del vsebuje načrtovanje in izvajanje angleških dejavnosti v vrtcu. Dejavnosti sem izvajala v obdobju treh mesecev. Poseben poudarek sem dala gibalnim dejavnostim. Po vsej predelani literaturi in po izvedenih dejavnostih sem ugotovila, da bi angleščino brez težav vključili v vsakdan otrok v vrtcu. Otroci so vedoželjni in se veselijo novih dejavnosti, prav tako pa imajo veliko energije, ki jo lahko pozitivno uporabimo pri dejavnostih prek celostnega telesnega odziva, kjer se lahko veliko gibajo, obenem pa tudi učijo na zabaven in preprost način.

Title:Learning the English language in pre-school through phisical activities
Abstract:
In my diploma I was reasearching whether movement activities motivate children in learning English language and if English could be integrated into the existing yearly plan of kindergartens. In the theoretical part I described early learning of foreign languages in Slovenia, and in Europe. I included the reasons and advantages of teaching foreign language in preschool age, appropriate teaching approaches at this age and attitudes of the Slovenian White Paper towards early FL learning. I gave the most attention to the Total Physical Response approach which is used in the research. The empirical part contains planning and implementation of English activities in kindergarten. Activities were performed in the period of three months. I gave special emphasis to movement activities. After all the literature was studied and the activities were implemented I discovered that English could easily be included into children's everyday in kindergarten. Children are eager to learn and happily accept new activities. In addition they have a lot of energy which we can readily use through Total Physical Response activities. They can move and learn in a relaxing and easy way through such activities.
