Abstract
Raziskavo smo izvedli med učenci 7., 8. in 9. razreda treh dolenjskih osnovnih šol (OŠ Mirna, OŠ Ferda Vesela in OŠ Center - Novo mesto). V raziskavi je sodelovalo 283 učencev. Z Likertovo lestvico so učenci ocenjevali strinjanje s 67 trditvami, s katerimi smo preverili njihovo strinjanje s trditvami s področja kreacionizma, evolucije, mejnih ved in učnega načrta.

Title:Knowledge of Darwin's theory of evolution among pupils in the third triade of primary school
Abstract:
In addition to shifts in biological sciences, the shifts have also occurred in the area of teaching Biology in primary school. By changing the curriculum, evolution got more space in primary school. The goal of the thesis was to obtain an overview of students' knowledge of Darwin's theory of evolution in the last three years of primary school. With this study we wanted to determine whether students have sufficient knowledge. At the same time we were interested if knowledge of 7th and 8th grade students' differs from 9th grade to determine whether there are differences between the genders and schools. The survey was conducted among pupils of 7th, 8th and 9th grade of three Dolenjska’s elementary schools – Mirna Primary School, Ferda Vesel Primary School and Center- Novo mesto Primary School. The study involved 283 students. Students evaluated the agreement with 67 allegations with the Likert Scale, with which we verified their agreement with the arguments in the area of creationism, evolution, border sciences and the curriculum. Students showed in general that they have a sufficient knowledge of the basic characteristics of evolution. Research has shown that students accept the theory of evolution. We also found that the knowledge of 7th grade students about evolution is not worse than the knowledge of 9th grade students, because we found only three statistically significant differences between the estimates made by pupils of different ages. Even with the gender there in no significant difference, because only six girls claim statistically differently than boys. The same applies to the differences between primary school, where we found seven statistically significant differences.
