Abstract
Z meritvami akustičnih karakteristik sem se začela ukvarjati v času praktičnega izobraževanja, kjer sem s fonometrom merila akustiko prostorov različnih snemalnih studiev, sinher in režij.

Title:Acoustic properties measurement of the anechoic chamber and recording studio
Abstract:
I began measuring acoustic characteristics during my practical training, when I measured the acoustics of different rooms in recording studios, synchronisation studios and sound studios with a sound level meter. I was interested how ambient noise affects the quality of the recording. The purpose of the thesis is to measure the reverberation time and ambient noise reduction in the anechoic chamber at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and to compare the obtained results with measurements performed at the studio of Radio and Television Slovenia. In measurements I used the sound level meters »NTI AUDIO XL2« and »Brüel & Kjær 2270« because of different accessible functions and practicalities. The first chapter describes the definition of sound, how we measure sound in a space and the composition of a sound level meter. What follows is a description of which functions we use in measurements and their properties. It describes how a sound level meter works. It also describes the soundproofing of an anechoic chamber. The last part describes the reverberation time, what reverberation time is, what it depends on and how we can reduce it. The second chapter lists the measuring equipment and its technical characteristics. The next chapter also describes the sound producing devices. The fourth chapter describes the anechoic chamber at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the recording studio at Radio and Television Slovenia. The final part describes noise measurements with the help of SLM function and with the help of the FFT function of the noise spectrum soundproofing measurements, which we performed in the anechoic chamber and the values of reverberation time.
