A survey of mites and insects, which have emerged as a disturbing or even paralysing factor in economically interesting trees in the recent two decades is presented by the article. There is a separate presentation of those species which entered gradation and caused great economic damage. Among the 608 established disturbing or detrimental factors, there were 49 Acarina, 7 Orthoptera, 1 Thysanoptera, 4 Heteroptera, 69 Homoptera, 213 Coleoptera, 142 Lepidoptera, 74 Hymenoptera and 49 Diptera species. The gradation stage was attained by 48
species of harmful insect species.
