Postmoderno kulturo s preloma tisočletij v veliki meri označuje dominacija likovne podobe. To bi likovno umetniško ustvarjanje lahko napolnilo z navdušujočim upanjem, če ta dominacija ne bi bila v funkciji kapitala in komercializacije vsakdanjega življenja. Naj pripomnim, da s kapitalom ne razumem le finančne ali kake druge dobičkonosne materialne moči, marveč razmerje nad-moči oz. moderno obliko podrejanja ljudi in naravnega okolja.

Abstract

The postmodern culture at the turn of centuries has been mainly signified by the dominance of image. The artistic creativity could be therefore fulfilled with hope and exaltation if this domination wouldn´t serve the capital commercialization of everyday life. Let me stress, that with "capital" I don´t understand only the financial or some other profitable material power (money) but the relation of over-power, the modern form of subduing of humans and environment respectively.
