Preučevali smo možnost sinteze nanodelcev TiO2 na površini smrekovega lesa. Nanodelce smo na površini lesa poskušali tvoriti s hidrotermalnim postopkom. Vzorce smo po obdelavi z vodno raztopino TiCl4 in HCl analizirali z vrstičnim elektronskim mikroskopom (SEM) ter z ramansko in energijsko disperzivno spektroskopijo (EDS). Ugotovili smo, da so na površinah vzorcev nastali delci, kar se je navzven kazalo v belkasti barvi površin. Nastali delci so bili do 500 nm veliki skupki kristalov titanovega dioksida rutilne oblike.

Title:Synthesis of TiO2 particles on a wood surface by the hydrothermal processing : B. Sc. thesis
We studied the possibility of synthesis of nanoparticles of titanium dioxide on a surface of spruce wood. After treatment in the aqueous solution of TiCl4 in HCl, the wooden samples were analysed with SEM, raman spectroscopy and EDS. It was stated, that small particles were formed on the surfaces, exhibited by their white colour. The particles were up to 500 nm large agglomerates of titanium dioxide in the rutile form.
