Abstract
Prispevek predstavlja model, ki določa smer prevoza lesa na določenem območju, kjer lahko izbiramo med več enakovrednimi smermi z vidika nadaljnjega prevoza (od meje območja do ciljev prevoza lesa). Smer določi s primerjavo prevoznih stroškov, ki se spreminjajo v odvisnosti od doline vonje in kakovosti cest. Kazalca kakovosti cest sta vrsta (asfalt, makadam) in podolžni naklon ceste. Pridobivanje podatkov o podolžnih naklonih cest zagotavlja nova metoda, ki uporablja podatke digitalnega modela reliefa in digitalno zbirko podatkov o cestnem omreju. Vsi izračuni so narejeni v rastrskem GIS (geografski informacijski sistem) okolju, ki zahteva uporabo geokodiranih podatkov. Model razdeli območje (gozdove v območju) na predele z vnaprej izbranimi smermi prevoza lesa. Smeri prevoza pa določajo mejne kontrolne točke. Izbrane morajo biti na mestih, kjer izvozne ceste izstopajo iz območja. Model smo preizkusili na gozdnogospodarski enoti Jezersko, ki obsega 5100 ha gozdov.

Title:Selecting a wood transportation route with GIS technology
Abstract:
This article presents a model establishing the route for wood transportation. It is designed for areas where we can choose between several routes considered to be equivalent from the viewpoint of further transportation (from the border of the relevant area to the destinations of wood transports). The route is established by comparing transportation costs, which are subject to the transportation distance and road quality. The indicators of road quality are the road type (asphalt or macadam) and the longitudinal inclination of the road. The data on longitudinal road inclinations is obtained by a new method using the data of a digital relief model and a digital data bank on the road network. All calculations are done in a GIS (geographical information system) environment requiring the use of geo-coded data. The model divides the area (the forests in the area) into sections with routes of wood transportation selected in advance. The transportation routes delimit the border control points. They are set at the spots where the roads exit the area. The model has been tried on the forest management unit of Jezersko, which encompasses forests of 5100 ha.
