Since the beginning of the last decade, the word is used to describe destiniesof people, who are exposed to abuse of co-workers and/or superiors. Heinz Leymann, a Swedish work psychologist, researched and named the process and with the broader interest for the subject, the public got aware of it. With the formulation "psycho terror on the workplace" he described the situation, in which an individual employee was systematically, often and during a longer time period, submitted to attacks from co-workers and/or superiors (Leymann, 1995, 18). The tense work-situation often causes illness and as a result an individual is forced to leave the job. Frequently he is no longer capable to re-enter the work environment. Mobbing afflicts from 4 to 9 % of work population and is present in Slovenia as well.
