Abstract
Moderne družbe označuje izjemno visoka stopnja kompleksnosti in diferenciacije, ki postane še bolj zapletena v kontekstu globalizacije in zahteva senzibilno koordinacijo. Avtor obravnava vprašanje koordinacije iz dveh vidikov: njene centralnosti in njene načrtnosti, kar mu omogoča konstrukcijo štirih idealnih tipov koordinacije: nenačrtno acentrično, nenačrtno centralno, načrtno centralno in načrtno acentrično.

Abstract:
Modern societies are characterised by an extremely high level of complexity and differentiation which becomes even more complicated in the globalisation context and requires a sensitive co-ordination. The author discusses the issue of co-ordination from two aspects: its centrality and its planning. This enables him to construct four ideal types of co-ordination, namely unplanned acentric, unplanned central, planned central and planned acentric. Through the analysis of several problems of modern globalising world, he attempts to demonstrate that - because of the limitations of each particular model - only the combination of all four models may provide a proper co-ordination of complex societies. The planned acentric model, based on negotiations, however, seems to be the one with the greatest potentials, still waiting to be released.
