Abstract
S Shigometrom, napravo za merjenje električne upornosti, smo preiskovali pojav patoloških sprememb v lesu različnih drevesnih vrst. V tkivih smo izmerili tudi vlažnost lesa in vsebnost kalijevih ionov z rendgensko fluorescenčnim spektroskopom. Vključili smo mehansko poškodovana drevesa iz območja Ljubljane in drevesa iz območja Škofjeloškega hribovja. Prehod med vlažnim delom in sušino, ter pojav biološke okužbe, je bilo pri smreki mogoče s Shigometrom dokaj enostavno zaznati. Za biološko okužen les so bile značilne dokaj nizke vrednosti električne upornosti, vsebnosti kalija na teh lokacijah pa so bile višje kot v neprizadetem tkivu. Za vlažno beljavo so bile značilne nižje, za sušino pa višje vrednosti električne upornosti. Vsebnost kalija je bila premosorazmerna z električno upornostjo. Tudi pri difuzno poroznih listavcih je bilo s Shigometrom mogoče zabeležiti beljavo, diskoloriran les, razkrojen les, mokrine, sušine in položaj reakcijske cone. Pri venčasto poroznih lesnih vrstah je bilo mogoče zaznati mejo med beljavo in jedrovino. V intaktnih tkivih robinije, hrasta in domačega kostanja je bila električna upornost nižja kot v jedrovini, vsebnost kalija pa večja v beljavi. Na okuženih mestih so bile vrednosti električne upornosti nižje.

Title:Assessment of patological changes in green wood with a Shigometer : graduation thesis - higher professional studies
Abstract:
Occurrence of pathological changes in wood of various tree species was investigated with an electrical resistance device called Shigometer. Moisture content of wood and content of potassium ions were measured by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. Mechanically wounded trees from Ljubljana region and forests near Škofja loka were researched too. Transition between moist sapwood and dehydrated core, as well as biological infection, was well detected by Shigometer in Norway spruce. Electrical resistance measurements were relatively low in infected wood, whereas potassium content was higher than in healthy wood. Lower values of electrical resistance were typical for moist sapwood, and higher values for dehydrated wood. Higher potassium concentration was related to higher electrical resistance readings. Sapwood, discolored wood, decayed wood, wet and dry spots, as well as position of reaction zones, can be detected by Shigometer in diffuse porous woods. Border between sapwood and heartwood in diffuse ring-porous wood can also be detected by Shigometer measurements. Electrical resistance of heartwood was higher than in healthy tissues of black locust, oak and European chestnut. Infected tissue had lower values of electrical resistance. Potassium content was higher in sapwood than in heartwood.
