The diploma thesis deals with the influence of the EAF slag C on physical-mechanical properties of concrete. Two concrete mixtures were designed according to the same recipe; however, two different aggregates with the same volume fraction were used. In the first mix the slag was applied and in the second one crushed limestone aggregate was incorporated. First the properties of concrete in the fresh state were tested: consistency of concrete by the slump method, content of air pores using pressure gauge method and measurements of temperature. In the hardened state of concrete compressive and flexural tensile strength of samples were tested and resistance of concrete to penetration of water under pressure was determined. The aim of the thesis was to establish whether both concrete mixtures have comparable properties and if and how we influence the concrete properties when using the slag
aggregate.
