Abstract
Poplave so ena izmed najpogostejših naravnih nesreč in povzročajo veliko škodo naravnemu in človeškemu okolju. Mostovi so najpogosteje porušen objekt ob poplavnih dogodkih, saj se neposredno spopadajo z delovanjem vode in njenimi erozijskimi procesi. Zaradi porušenih mostov pa je že večkrat prišlo do smrtnih žrtev. V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge sem opisal umeščanje cest v prostor in zahtev pri projektiranju mostov. Pri projektiranju mostov sem se osredotočil na temeljenje konstrukcije, statistično določitev pretokov in hidravličnih zahtev vodotokov. Zaradi velike erozijske in transportne moči hudournikov sem opisal tudi razlike pri njihovem premoščanju. V drugem delu pa sem opisal hudourniški poplavi v Železnikih in Polhovem Gradcu ter povzel ukrepe za zagotavljanje njihove varnosti. V zaključku sem zaradi ponavljajočih težav z mostovi zapisal tudi smernice za doseganje višje varnosti.

Title:Floods and bridging objects
Abstract:
Floods are one of the most common natural disasters and cause a lot of damage to the natural and human environment. Bridges are most frequently demolished construction object on flood events as they are directly confronted by the affect of water and its erosion processes. The demolition of bridges often led to deaths. In the theoretical part of the thesis I described the placement of roads in the area and requirements for the design of bridges where I focused on the foundation of structure, statistical determining of flows and hydraulic requirements of watercourses. Due to large erosion and transport power of torrents I described the differences in bridging them. In the second part I described torrent floods in Železniki and Polhov Gradec and summarized the measures taken to ensure their safety. The conclusion contains the guidelines how to achieve higher security.
