Abstract
Ob obstoječih merilih in normativih smo v delu raziskali še praktične primere umeščanja daljinskih kolesarskih poti. Predstavili smo kolesarski poti ob reki Dravi in ob reki Muri v sosednji Avstriji ter krajše odseke urejenih kolesarskih poti v Sloveniji. S celovitim načrtovanjem in upoštevanjem že obstoječe infrastrukture ter javnih, gozdnih in poljskih poti smo v delu prikazali učinkovitejši, hitrejši in predvsem finančno ugodnejši način umeščanja daljinskih kolesarskih poti.

Title:Spatial placement of the Drava cycling path between Dravograd and Središče ob Dravi
Abstract:
The thesis discusses an improved approach in planning long-distance cycling paths in Slovenia. We presented the placement of the Drava bicycle path along the river Drava between Dravograd and Središče ob Dravi. Drava bicycle path in Slovenia as a tourist offer already exists, but is placed on more or less busy roads and is not comparable to similar riverside cycling paths in the more developed European environments. At the existing criteria and norms, we also studied some practical examples of placing long-distance cycle paths. We presented a cycle path along the river Drava and the Mura river in Austria and shorter sections of cycle paths in Slovenia. Using the criteria and norms of the practical characteristics of placement, the analysis area along the river Drava and talks with stakeholders in the area, we are able to determine the possible variants. It was evaluated on spatial, functional and nature aspects. We highlight the spatial aspect (proximity to nature, to Drava river, attraction, tourist facilities, compliance with the proposals of municipalities, ownership structure), because it is crucial for the later success of cycle paths and its implementation. With comprehensive planning and utilization of existing infrastructure and public, forest and field paths, we show a more effective, faster and financially cheaper way of placing long-distance cycling routes. Only the correct approach and cooperation in the future can rise the level of Slovenia cycling developed to European countries.
