Abstract
V pričujočem delu je predstavljena izdelava merilnega in kontrolnega sistema za prenosno linijo žarka eksperimentalnega svetlobnega vira v okolju National Instruments LabView. Eksperimentalni svetlobni viri so moderno raziskovalno orodje za karakterizacijo snovi. V osnovi so sestavljeni iz fizičnega izvora svetlobe, prenosne linije žarka in eksperimentalne komore. Žarek na poti med fizičnim izvorom in eksperimentalno komoro potuje skozi več različnih naprav, ki vplivajo na njegove karakteristike, pri izvajanju eksperimentov pa morajo delovati usklajeno, da lahko zagotavljajo pravilno sosledje dogodkov. Izdelava kontrolnega in merilnega sistema prenosne linije žarka je zajemala integracijo vseh aktuatorskih in merilnih naprav, ki se pojavijo na prenosni poti, prav tako pa tudi avtomatizacijo pogostih postopkov in eksperimentov. Kontrolni in merilni sistem je izveden v okolju LabView, saj le-to zagotavlja preprosto integracijo naprav, ker gonilnike pogosto zagotovi ˇže proizvajalec, hkrati pa omogoča tudi hitro izgradnjo učinkovitega uporabniškega vmesnika.

Title:Designing a control system for a beamline of a experimental light source
Abstract:
This thesis presents the National Instruments LabView based control and measurement system of beamline of experimental light source. Light sources are modern experimental tools for material research. Basic parts of each light source are: physical source, beamline and experimental station with target. On the path from the source to the target the beam is modified by several different devices. They must be coordinated to ensure proper characteristics of the beam and timing of different actions. The process of developing the control and measurement system included several phases, from integration of all devices on the beamline to automation of basic processes and more sophisticated experiments. The system was developed in LabView development environment which enables simultaneous development of code and user interface and offers an easy integration of wide range of devices.
