Abstract
V diplomskem delu je predstavljena izdelava nadgradnje programskega vmesnika pipetirnega robota. Ta skrbi za zajem, prenos in aplikacijo tekočine od izvora do ponora. Podani so osnovni protokoli, ki so definirani v programu. Razloženi so pomembni programski algoritmi, ki so ključni pri pravilnem delovanju vmesnika in komunikaciji med programskim vmesnikom in robotom. V uvodnem poglavju je podan opis robotov za pipetiranje, njihova vloga v laboratoriju in primer sodobnega robotskega sistema, ki se uporablja za pipetiranje. V drugem poglavju so opisani uporabljeni protokoli, ki služijo kot temelj izdelave uporabniškega vmesnika. Spiranje in nasajanje sta dva pomembna protokola, tako v kemiji kot tudi v biologiji, zato je razumevanje postopka ključnega pomena pri uporabi uporabniškega vmesnika. Tretje poglavje opisuje obstoječi in novi robotski mehanizem, ki smo ga izdelali. Opisani so ključni elementi, kot so motorji, ki so uporabljeni za pogon sistema, ter vodenje robotskega mehanizma. V četrtem poglavju je opisan grafični uporabniški vmesnik, razvit za lažje delo z robotskim sistemom. V zadnjem delu je podan povzetek diplomskega dela, kjer so podane ugotovitve in možne izboljšave uporabniškega vmesnika.

Title:User interface for a pipetting robot
Abstract:
This thesis presents an upgraded user interface for a pipetting robot. This does capturing, transferring and application of liquid from source to sink. Explained are basic protocols that are defined in the program and important program algorithms, which are essentials for proper functioning of the user interface. Described is communication between the user interface and a robot. The introductory chapter provides a brief description of pipetting robots, their role in the laboratory and an example of modern robot system, which is used for pipetting. The second chapter describes used protocols that serve as the basis for development of the user interface. Passaging and washing are two protocols, both used in chemistry and in biology. Understanding of protocols is required for proper usage of the user interface. The third chapter describes the existing and the new robotic mechanism that we created. It describes the key elements, such as motors, which are used to drive the robot mechanism. The fourth chapter describes the graphical user interface, which was developed to facilitate the work with the robotic system. The final section provides a summary of the thesis, findings and possible improvements of the user interface.
