Lately, there is a growing interest in medium-and low-voltage networks, as the conditions in these networks differ from the ones in transmission networks.
This thesis discusses the electrical conditions on the four-wire low-voltage cable line with sector-shaped conductor. Such lines are used in low-voltage networks where we have a common protective and neutral conductor. This conductor is along the route several times earthed with metric rods that have some resistance which is ignored in conventional calculations. The key task is to show how the resistance earthing affects the electrical conditions on the line.
First the methods for calculating the electrical properties of the lines are introduced. Then it is described how and where to take into account the resistance earthing and how equivalent circuit of the line is set. Finally, the lines are placed in the network and different phase loads are simulated. The simulation results are given in the analytical and graphical form.
