Abstract

Title:
Information systems in medicine
Abstract:
The thesis describes and analyses solutions in informatics in the field of health care in Slovenia and globally. We will present the different standards that are relevant and important for the field of medicine. Thus we shall describe how servers for medical picture exchange (PACS) work. We shall present the different information systems in use in the University Clinical Center in Ljubljana and at end we will present the health care project eZdravje (“zdravje” meaning health) and its subprojects that are intended to improve and exchange medical data.
