Abstract
V članku s feministično-sociološke teoretske perspektive analiziram odnos mladih žensk do lastnega telesnega videza, družbenih telesnih lepotnih norm in praks.

Abstract:
The article analyses the young women's relationship towards their look, social beauty norms and practices from a feminist-sociological perspective. The author reports findings of five focus groups with 34 students and pupils. She analysed the perceived pressures on attaining an attractive body and their relations to weight control. More than half respondents expressed body dissatisfaction. They described ideal woman figure as slim; many of them have already been on a diet. But generally they show quite critical relation toward beauty ideals and beauty practices. Implications are discussed in relation to cultural influences on young women that encourage body dissatisfaction.
