This master’s thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the operations, organization, and expansion of activities of the Society of Slovene Composers (Društvo slovenskih skladateljev – DSS) between 2000 and 2005. It examines the Society’s diverse programmatic, professional, and organizational activities, highlighting several significant milestones, including the celebration of its 60th anniversary, the organization of the first ISCM World Music Days in Slovenia, and the renovation of the Society’s premises. The thesis is primarily research-descriptive in nature, drawing chiefly on archival materials from the DSS. Accordingly, archival research methods constituted the principal methodological approach.
