Abstract
Polimorfizem TMPRSS2 rs12329760 je bil povezan z blažjim potekom bolezni, medtem ko so bile posamezne različice v genih ACE1 in ACE2 povezane s trajanjem hospitalizacije in drugimi kazalniki težjega poteka bolezni.

Title:Polymorphisms in SARS-CoV-2 entry pathway genes are associated with COVID-19 severity : analysis of ACE1, ACE2, and TMPRSS2 polymorphisms in a Slovenian cohort : research data underlying the article
Abstract:
The study investigated the association between genetic polymorphisms in genes involved in SARS-CoV-2 entry into host cells and COVID-19 severity in the Slovenian population. The study included 240 adult patients with varying degrees of COVID-19 severity. Selected polymorphisms in the ACE1, ACE2, and TMPRSS2 genes were analysed, and their associations with the clinical characteristics of the disease were evaluated using univariate and multivariate statistical models. The TMPRSS2 rs12329760 polymorphism was associated with a milder disease, whereas polymorphisms in the ACE1 and ACE2 genes were associated with the duration of hospitalisation and other indicators of severe disease. The results suggest that genetic variability in viral entry pathways may contribute to differences in the clinical course and outcome of COVID-19. The dataset contains pseudonymised demographic and genotype data from the study participants. To protect personal data, access to the dataset is restricted and is granted only upon a justified request and with the approval of the data custodian.
