Abstract
Najbolj primerne so gojitvene oblike z manjšo transpiracijsko površino in večjim senčenjem grozdov.

Title:Technological measures for mitigating drought and heat stress in grapevine
Abstract:
Climate change is increasing the risk of drought and heat stress in grapevines in Slovenian wine-grown regions. This thesis reviews scientific literature on the physiological and biochemical responses of grapevine to drough and heat stress, as well as viticultural practices for mitigating their effects. The most effective strategy is an integrated approach that begins with vineyard establishment, including the selection of site, altitude, aspect, cultivar and rootstock. Training systems with a smaller transpiring surface and greater bunch shading are the most suitable. Soil mulching reduces water evaporation, while maintaining a low-mown cover crop limits competition for water in the inter-row area. Canopy management practices should be adapted to current conditions, taking both stress factors into account. Under heat stress, mechanical shading such as shade nets and foils, as well as antitranspirants and biostimulants, can help reduce damage. Drip irrigation and irrigation based on seasonal monitoring of soil moisture can reduce water use without compromising crop quality.
