This bachelor's thesis examines cycling infrastructure in Ljubljana in terms of its quality, functionality, and compliance with current regulations. The analysis focuses on the dimensions of cycling facilities, their continuity, the guidance of cyclists through intersections, and the provision of bicycle parking facilities. The aim of the thesis is to determine the extent to which the existing infrastructure enables the safe, comfortable, and efficient use of bicycles as a means of everyday transportation. The adequacy of individual elements of cycling infrastructure is assessed in accordance with the Rules on Cycling Facilities (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 36/18). The thesis includes an evaluation of selected sections and locations in Ljubljana, comparing the existing conditions with the requirements and recommendations set out in the regulation. Particular attention is given to identifying deficiencies that reduce traffic safety, visibility, or the continuity of cycling routes. Based on the conducted analysis, several critical locations are selected, and proposals for improvement are developed. These include modifications to the alignment of cycling facilities, adjustments to road cross-sections, improvements to traffic signage and road equipment, and other measures aimed at enhancing cyclist safety and comfort. The proposed solutions provide potential guidelines for the further development of a high-quality, safe, and interconnected cycling network in Ljubljana and contribute to the promotion of sustainable urban mobility
