This thesis examines the existing timber roof structure of a building in Gornja Prekopa near Kostanjevica na Krki. The aim of the thesis was to verify the load-bearing capacity and serviceability of selected structural elements in view of the planned roof renovation, and to develop a three-dimensional model of the structure, construction drawings, and data for CNC processing of the timber elements. Based on measurements of the existing structure, the roof geometry and dimensions of the load-bearing elements were determined, together with the effects of self-weight, permanent loads, snow loads, and wind loads. Plane structural models were developed for the structural analysis, and the load-bearing capacity of the rafter, intermediate purlin, column, and wall plate was verified. The serviceability limit state was also verified for the rafter, intermediate purlin, and wall plate. The results showed that the verified elements satisfy the required load-bearing capacity and serviceability criteria under the considered loads and can therefore be retained as part of the planned roof renovation. A threedimensional model of the timber roof structure was developed in Dietrich's and used to prepare construction drawings and machine data in BVN format for subsequent CNC processing of the timber elements.
