Abstract
Gradnja ladij trgovske mornarice predstavlja izjemno kompleksen inženirski proces, pri katerem neustrezno vodenje prehodov med posameznimi fazami predstavlja visoko tveganje za nastanek nepopravljivih finančnih izgub in strukturnih pomanjkljivosti. Optimizacija gradnje ladij za razsuti tovor, specifično razreda kamsramax, zahteva dosledno implementacijo sodobne megablokovne proizvodnje in procesov predopremljanja, kar dokazano drastično zmanjša čas zasedenosti suhega doka in poveča varnost delovnih procesov. Varnost in strukturna integriteta teh masivnih 229-metrskih plovil sta pogojeni s strogimi mednarodnimi regulativami (SOLAS, MARPOL) in klasifikacijskimi pravili (IACS CSR), ki narekujejo specifično ojačitev dvojnega dna in odpornost valovitih prečnih pregrad na ekstremne hidrostatične pritiske pri prevozu težkih tovorov (boksit, železova ruda). Uspešen zaključek projekta ter predaja plovila v komercialno uporabo sta mogoča šele ob brezhibni izvedbi pristaniških in morskih preizkusov.

Title:THE SHIPBUILDING PROCESS OF A MERCHANT VESSEL
Abstract:
The construction of merchant navy ships represents an exceptionally complex engineering process, in which inadequate management of transitions between individual phases poses a high risk of irreversible financial losses and structural deficiencies. Optimizing the construction of bulk carriers, specifically of the Kamsarmax class, requires the consistent implementation of modern mega-block production and pre-outfitting processes, which is proven to drastically reduce dry dock occupancy time and enhance the safety of work operations. The safety and structural integrity of these massive 229-meter vessels are contingent upon strict international regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL) and classification rules (IACS CSR), which dictate specific reinforcement of the double bottom and the resistance of corrugated transverse bulkheads to extreme hydrostatic pressures during the transportation of heavy cargoes (bauxite, iron ore). The successful completion of the project and the handover of the vessel for commercial operation are possible only upon the flawless execution of harbor and sea trials.
