Abstract
Z raziskavo smo določiti optimalno kombinacijo prsnega kota, podajalne hitrosti in debeline odvzema za doseganje čim boljše kakovosti obdelane površine robov. Eksperiment smo izvedli s tremi različnimi prsnimi koti rezila (5°, 15° in 25°), tremi globinami odvzema (2, 4 in 6 mm), ter tremi podajalnimi hitrostmi (2, 6,5 in 13 m/min).

Title:Influence of Cutter Edge Angles on the Machining of Rohling Panel Edges
Abstract:
The influence of the cutting tool rake angle on the quality of machined edges of Rohling panels and on cutting tool wear during the milling process is investigated in this bachelor's thesis. The aim of the study was to determine the optimal combination of rake angle, feed speed, and depth of cut to achieve the highest possible quality of the machined edge surface. The experiment was carried out using three different cutting tool rake angles (5°, 15°, and 25°), three cut depths (2, 4, and 6 mm), and three feed speeds (2, 6.5, and 13 m/min). A total of 27 combinations of machining parameters were analysed. For each combination, six test specimens were prepared, and six surface roughness measurements were performed. Surface roughness was evaluated using the parameters Ra, Rq, Rz, Rp, Rv, Rt, Rsk, and Rku. It was found that the influence of the cutting tool rake angle on surface quality was less pronounced, while feed speed had the greatest effect on the quality of the machined surface. The best surface quality was achieved using a 25° rake angle, a cut depth of 6 mm, and a feed speed of 2 m/min, whereas the poorest surface quality was obtained with a 25° rake angle, a cut depth of 4 mm, and a feed speed of 13 m/min. The findings provide a useful basis for selecting optimal machining parameters and for further research into the application of diamond cutting tools in the machining of Rohling panels.
