Vpliv avksina in rastnega substrata na rast in razvoj potaknjencev izbranih križancev pravega kostanja (Castanea crenata × Castanea sativa)

Abstract
Delo proučuje možnosti izboljšanja protokola za vegetativno razmnoževanje pravega kostanja (Castanea sp.) z zelenimi potaknjenci v meglilnem sistemu, s poudarkom na premagovanju fizioloških omejitev koreninjenja in zmanjševanju tveganja za pojav bolezni (Phytophthora cambivora, Cryphonectria parasitica). V raziskavi smo analizirali odziv dveh komercialno pomembnih hibridnih sort (C. crenata × C. sativa), 'Marsol' in 'Maraval', na sestavo substrata (mešanica šote s perlitom ali kremenčevim peskom), starost substrata (svež oziroma eno leto star) ter hormonsko obravnavo z indol-3-masleno kislino (IBA). Spremljali smo končni delež koreninjenja, število in dolžino korenin, delež tvorbe kalusa ter stopnjo propada potaknjencev. Rezultati so pokazali, da so se potaknjenci sorte 'Maraval' s 50 % uspešno koreninjenih potaknjencev nekoliko bolje koreninili kot potaknjenci sorte 'Marsol' z 39 % uspešno koreninjenih potaknjencev. Uporaba hormona IBA ni izboljšala števila in dolžine korenin pri potaknjencih obeh sort. Pri analizi gojitvenih medijev oz. substratov smo ugotovili, da starost substrata na uspeh razmnoževanja ne vpliva. Pokazale pa so se manjše razlike glede na sestavo medija za koreninjenje, saj smo večji odstotek uspešno koreninjenih potaknjencev zabeležili v substratu s kremenčevim peskom, medtem ko se v substratu s perlitom kaže manjši odstotek uspešno koreninjenih potaknjencev in daljše korenine, več korenin in boljša razporeditev korenin.

Title:The effect of auxin and substrate on the growth and development of cuttings of selected hybrids of sweet chestnut (Castanea crenata × Castanea sativa)
Abstract:
This study investigates possibilities for improving the vegetative propagation protocol of sweet chestnut (Castanea sp.) using green cuttings in a fog system, with an emphasis on overcoming physiological rooting limitations and reducing the risk of disease occurrence (Phytophthora cambivora, Cryphonectria parasitica). In this research, we systematically analyzed the response of two commercially important hybrids (C. crenata × C. sativa), 'Marsol' and 'Maraval', to substrate composition (a mixture of peat with perlite or silica sand), substrate age (fresh vs. one-year-old), and hormone treatment with indole-3-butyric acid (IBA). We monitored the final rooting rate, root number and length, callus formation percentage and mortality rate of cuttings. The results showed that 'Maraval' cuttings, with a 50% rooting rate, rooted better than 'Marsol' cuttings with a 39% rooting rate. The application of the hormone IBA did not improved root number and length in cuttings of both cultivars. In analyzing the growing media, we found that substrate age did not affect the rooting rate of cuttings. However, small differences emerged regarding media composition, as higher rooting percentage was recorded in the substrate containing silica sand, whereas the substrate containing perlite resulted in a lower rooting percentage but greater average root length.
