Abstract
V prvem delu so opisani teoretični temelji delovanja posameznih komponent in način njihovega medsebojnega povezovanja.

Title:Optimizing the operating costs of an off-grid residential power system with photovoltaics, battery, and diesel generator
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the analysis of an off-grid system that combines a photovoltaic power plant, a battery storage system, and a diesel generator. The purpose of the study is to investigate the possibility of supplying electricity to a residential house without connection to the electrical power grid, to develop a software tool that enables the user to perform their own system analysis, and to evaluate the technical and economic characteristics of such a system. The first part describes the theoretical foundations of the operation of the individual components and the way they are interconnected. Based on weather data and electricity consumption data, a simulation of the system operation is carried out. Particular emphasis is placed on the sizing of the photovoltaic power plant, the capacity of the battery storage system, and the role of the diesel generator, which provides energy during periods of low solar irradiation. The simulation results show that the combination of a photovoltaic power plant, battery storage system, and diesel generator enables the coverage of electricity demand. The analyzed case is assessed as less cost-effective compared to a connection to the electrical power grid. Nevertheless, the system is suitable for locations where a grid connection is not possible.
