Construction sites represent a dynamic working environment in which numerous safety risks, demanding work organization and coordination of various construction processes are intertwined. Modern digital technologies, especially the Internet of Things (IoT), enable new approaches to improving safety, monitoring, and the efficiency of construction works. The purpose of the thesis was to examine the possibilities of using IoT technologies in construction and to prepare a proposal for their introduction at the selected construction site. The theoretical part presents the basic characteristics of the Internet of Things, data capture devices, communication networks and the possibilities of their use in construction. Special attention is paid to wearable safety equipment, environmental and gas sensors, RFID technology, GPS trackers and a platform for centralized data monitoring. In the practical part, a proposal for an IoT system adapted to the needs of the considered construction site is made, and its technical feasibility and approximate economic feasibility are assessed by analyzing the initial investment, annual operating costs, expected financial effects and payback period of the investment. The thesis presents an example of connecting modern IoT technologies with construction practice and shows the possibilities of their use to support more efficient management of construction sites.
