Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is the second most common form of cardiomyopathy in children. It represents a highly heterogeneous group of disorders that is often genetically determined or associated with an underlying syndromic or chronic systemic condition. This article aims to describe the etiology and clinical presentation of the disease, as well as the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, supplemented by our own experience in the management of children with this condition.
