This final thesis presents an analysis of the microstructure and mechanical properties of ultrasonically welded copper conductor joints. The aim of the research was to analyze the effect of ultrasonic welding parameters on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the welded joints. Mechanical properties were evaluated through tensile strength, peel force tests and Vickers microhardness tests, while microstructural properties were analyzed using optical microscopy. It was found that the weld zone is the critical area regarding the mechanical strength of the joint. The greatest deformations occur at the center of the weld, where the sonotrode acts upon the material.
