A medical device that is worn behind the ear and safely and
effectively relieves pain, eliminates the need for medication,
and helps people avoid invasive surgeries currently lacks an
aesthetic design, which is a shortcoming of the device. Since it
is worn on the body for several days, I believe it is important for
people to feel confident while using it, which is why I decided to
find a solution to this problem for my thesis.
In my thesis, I will explore the device’s functionality, its
advantages and disadvantages, and the materials and
techniques I can use to design a new housing; I will focus on
users’ desires and needs and determine which design is most
suitable to ensure people feel as comfortable as possible while
wearing the device.
