Abstract
Zaključna naloga obravnava zasnovo procesnega sistema za proizvodnjo obnovljivega metanola iz elektroliziranega vodika in zajetega ogljikovega dioksida. Primerjali smo tri poti, in sicer uplinjanje biomase, pretvorbo bioplina in hidrogenacijo ogljikovega dioksida. Podrobno smo opisali dvostopenjski proces z adiabatnim in cevnim reaktorjem.

Title:Design of a process system for production of renewable methanol
Abstract:
This thesis addresses the design of a process system for the production of renewable methanol from electrolytic hydrogen and captured carbon dioxide. We compared three routes, namely biomass gasification, biogas conversion and carbon dioxide hydrogenation. The two-stage process with an adiabatic and a tubular reactor is described in detail. The once-through conversion is 30.0 % in the first and 26.9 % in the second reactor, which shows that the process operates close to equilibrium. One tonne of methanol requires 0.20 t of hydrogen, 1.37 t of carbon dioxide, 1.79 t of water and 10.6 MWh of electricity, which is also consistent with the data reported in the literature. Electrolysis is the main energy consumer.
