More than half of agricultural tasks involve transport, in which tractors and tractor trailers are predominantly used. Working with this equipment frequently leads to workplace accidents, often caused by trailers without brakes. This assignment examines the braking systems of tractors and tractor trailers. It begins with an overview of the development of agricultural machinery within the context of accidents involving tractors and trailers. Tractor braking systems are explained, along with different types of brakes and various systems for transmitting braking force. Different methods of braking tractor trailers are also described. The diploma presents the Massey Ferguson 2430ST tractor, provides an overview of its hydraulic system and braking system, and discusses the planning and construction of a hydraulic braking system for the trailer. As part of the system design, various valves used for trailer braking are introduced. The work also presents the Ložnica 443.2 trailer, explains its pneumatic braking system, and describes its conversion to a hydraulic braking system. As part of the trailer brake system conversion, the process of calculating the braking force for a single-axle trailer is outlined. The work concludes with a final presentation of the hydraulic braking system for the trailer and suggestions for its improvement.
