Osnovno šolstvo na območju nekdanje dežele Koroške v Kraljevini Jugoslaviji: analiza arhivskega gradiva Slovenskega šolskega muzeja : magistrsko delo

V magistrskem delu sem analiziral arhivsko gradivo Slovenskega šolskega muzeja za 19 osnovnih šol z območja nekdanje dežele Koroške v Mežiški dolini in okolici Dravograda v obdobju med obema svetovnima vojnama. Arhivsko gradivo sem analiziral s tehničnega in vsebinskega vidika. Pri vsebinski analizi sem se osredotočil na mrežo osnovnih šol in na stanje in razdalje vsakodnevnih poti učencev do šol. Zatem sem analiziral vpis učencev in zaposleni pedagoški kader v šolskem letu 1940/1941, saj je bilo to edino leto z ohranjenimi statistikami v arhivskem gradivu Slovenskega šolskega muzeja. Na koncu sem glede na ohranjene vire pregledal še materialno stanje osnovnih šol. Pri tem sem se osredotočil na velikost šolskih stavb, stanje šolskega vrta in na obseg šolskih knjižnic.

• Title: Primary education in the former Carinthia in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia: an analysis of archival material from the Slovenian School Museum : magistrsko delo

Abstract

In this master’s thesis, I analysed archival material from the Slovenian School Museum pertaining to 19 elementary school in the region of former Carinthia, specifically in the Meža Valley and the area surrounding Dravograd, during the interwar period. I analysed the archival material from both a technical and a content-based perspective. In the content analysis, I focused on the network of elementary schools and on the conditions and distances of students’ daily commutes to school. I then analysed student enrolment and the teaching staff for the 1940/1941 school year, as this was the only year for which statistics were preserved in the archival materials of the Slovenian School Museum. Finally, based on available sources, I examined the physical condition of elementary schools. Here, I focused on the size of school building, the condition of school gardens, and the size of school libraries.
