This thesis presents an evaluation of gaseous pollutant emissions from an urban bus under real-world driving conditions in accordance with the European Euro VI and Euro 7 emission standards. Current trends in the transport sector and pollutant emissions are reviewed. The methodologies for calculating pollutant emissions according to the Euro VI and Euro 7 standards and their accompanying regulatory documents are described. Based on measurement data, a dedicated software tool was developed in the Python programming environment to calculate conformity factors and specific emissions of NOₓ, CO, and THC using both the work-based and CO₂ mass-based methods. The results indicate that the two calculation methods are in good agreement. It was also found that pollutant emissions are influenced by driving cycle characteristics, particularly engine warm-up conditions and driving dynamics. The results evaluated according to the Euro VI standard remain below the prescribed emission limits and, for the pollutants considered, confirm the vehicle's compliance with the standard. In contrast, most of the results obtained according to the Euro 7 standard exceeded the prescribed emission limits regardless of the pollutant considered in this study, which is expected given the more stringent limit values. However, due to the limited number of measurements and the fact that the tests were not conducted fully in accordance with the requirements of the standard, no definitive conclusions can be drawn regarding the vehicle's compliance with the upcoming Euro 7 standard.
