Abstract
Namen diplomske naloge je spremljati spreminjanje dimenzijskih karakteristik izvrtine na obravnavanem kosu skozi celoten proces izdelave v podjetju ter s pomočjo statističnih metod izboljšati nadzor procesa. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene osnove struženja, vakuumskega kaljenja in honanja ter metode statističnega nadzora procesa in vrednotenja sposobnosti procesa. V eksperimentalnem delu sta opisana proizvodni proces, ki vključuje struženje, predpripravo na vakuumsko kaljenje, vakuumsko kaljenje in honanje, ter pridobivanje potrebnih meritev karakteristik obravnavanega kosa po posameznih izdelovalnih postopkih. Zbrani merilni podatki so bili analizirani z uporabo kontrolnih kart, drugih statističnih metod in kazalnikov sposobnosti procesa. Na podlagi rezultatov je bila ocenjena stabilnost posameznih izdelovalnih postopkov. Izvedena analiza omogoča ustreznejše določanje premera skoznje izvrtine pri predpripravi kosa na vakuumsko kaljenje ter izboljšanje nadzora celotnega proizvodnega procesa.

Title:Monitoring and control of bore characteristics in a geometrically complex workpiece throughout the entire manufacturing process
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to monitor changes in the dimensional characteristics of a bore in the examined component throughout the entire manufacturing process in the company and to improve process control using statistical methods. The theoretical part presents the fundamentals of turning, vacuum hardening and honing, as well as methods of statistical process control and process capability evaluation. The experimental part describes the manufacturing process, which includes turning, preparation for vacuum hardening, vacuum hardening and honing, as well as the acquisition of the required measurements of the examined component’s characteristics after each manufacturing operation. The collected measurement data were analysed using control charts, other statistical methods and process capability indices. Based on the results, the stability of the individual manufacturing operations was evaluated. The analysis enables a more appropriate determination of the through-bore diameter during the preparation of the component for vacuum hardening and contributes to improved control of the entire manufacturing process.
