This Diploma thesis examines the transport of perishable goods, using the example of Transport Frangež LTD., with an emphasis on the challenges companies face in this process. The introductory section defines what the transport of perishable goods entails, explains why precise planning of such transport is important, and briefly lists which goods fall into this category. In the diploma, the legislation and certifications relevant to this transport will be presented, as well as the documentation required to carry out such transport. This is followed by a description of the goods that fall under the perishable goods category and the temperature regimes under which certain goods must be transported; the modes of transport suitable for this type of transport are also presented. The following section introduces the company Transport Frangež, its history, vision, and fleet. This is followed by a description of the information systems Infotrans, Tracknav, and Timocom that the company uses on a daily basis to facilitate the organization of shipments. Next, a real-life transport case study is presented, which the company carried out in March 2025; it includes detailed descriptions of the work performed by drivers and dispatchers and concludes with a description of the process for completing the transport. The conclusion of the paper presents the challenges and solutions related to the transport of perishable goods that companies face.
