Abstract
This dataset contains the numerical data underlying the figures presented in the article “Mulberry fruit extract attenuates valproic acid-induced oxidative injury and increases glutathione peroxidase activity in FaO cells.” The study investigated whether black mulberry (Morus nigra L.) fruit extract modifies valproic acid-induced toxicity and oxidative stress in FaO rat hepatoma cells following acute exposure to valproic acid for 28 hours or chronic exposure for 4 weeks. The deposited data include measurements of cell viability and fitness, hepatocellular injury, oxidative status, antioxidant enzyme activities, and extracellular antioxidant capacity. The analyzed outcomes include neutral red accumulation, extracellular alanine aminotransferase activity, hydrogen peroxide production, cellular antioxidant enzyme activities, and ABTS radical-scavenging capacity, as applicable to the acute and chronic experiments. The file provides the values used to generate the article figures, including individual biological replicate values.
