Med nacionalno pripadnostjo, ideologijo in znanstveno korektnostjo : Balduin Saria in njegova življenjska zgodba

Razprava obravnava odnos arheologa Balduina Sarie do nacionalsocialistične ideologije in njegovo držo ob burnem političnem dogajanju v prvi polovici 20. stoletja. V ospredju je prikaz družbenih okoliščin, ki so formirale Balduina Sario. Zdi se, da mu je kljub načelnemu simpatiziranju z nacizmom in podpiranju velikonemške rešitve, ki sta v veliki meri determinirala izbiro njegove raziskovalne tematike, uspelo ohranjati znanstveno korektnost.

• Title: Between national identity, ideology, and research integrity : Balduin Saria and his life story

Abstract

The paper discusses the archaeologist Balduin Saria and his attitude towards national socialist ideology as well as his stance during the turbulent political events of the first half of the twentieth century. The focus is on presenting the social circumstances that shaped him. It seems that, despite his principled sympathy for nazism and support for the Pan-German solution, which largely determined the choice of his research topic, he nonetheless managed to maintain his research integrity.
