Abstract
V drugem delu so navedeni praktični primeri poučevanja antičnih vsebin v sklopu obveznega programa – učnih ur in dni dejavnosti. V zaključni razpravi so povzete ugotovitve teoretičnega in praktičnega dela raziskave.

Title:Classcial themes in elementary school: Inclusion of certain antique Roman cultural themes in elementary school
Abstract:
Based on many years of professional practice, this master's thesis addresses the teaching of content related to antiquity in primary school. This includes both the teaching of Latin and the teaching of ancient cultural and civilizational topics within all activities offered by primary schools where such content is appropriate. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part presents how content related to antiquity is taught in Slovenia and abroad, and includes several examples of successful practices from Slovenia and other countries. Through a review of the curricula of selected subjects, the thesis outlines the content frameworks for introducing topics related to antiquity, while the time frames for their implementation are analysed from the perspective of work organization in primary school. The thesis also briefly discusses selected didactic approaches. The second part presents practical examples of teaching content related to antiquity within the compulsory programme, including lessons and activity days. The extracurricular activity Latin is presented in detail, along with possibilities for addressing topics related to antiquity outside the classroom. The thesis also includes an example of intergenerational learning, in which secondary school students acted as mentors to primary school pupils in their exploration of ancient topics. The activities were evaluated, and the responses of the participating teachers, collected through a survey, are presented, together with the responses of pupils, who answered questionnaires or short open-ended questions. The concluding discussion summarizes the findings of the theoretical and practical parts of the research. Special emphasis is placed on the changes brought about by the current school reform, as well as on the advantages, challenges, and importance of recognizing and preserving the legacy of antiquity in the future.
