Abstract

Drawing emerges as a powerful, multifaceted method in ethnographic research, when it is deployed as an iterative process from fieldnote scribbles to presentating research. In this contribution, I reflect on my use of drawing throughout the research process, highlighting how it brings about fruitful conceptual pathways to make sense of encounters in human-environment relations. The oscillation between fine-liner drawings in field notebooks and digital artworks allows for an iterative analysis, layering interpretations, relations, and positions in the process.
