This thesis explores the development of an innovative mobile application designed to foster spontaneous social interaction in Slovenia. It focuses on the concept of Spontaneous Online Social Networks (SOSN), enabling users to discover nearby events and check the live atmosphere of venues through a \enquote{Vibe Check} feature. The solution is implemented using Expo React Native for the mobile front-end and the Hono framework with Bun for the back-end system, integrating with the national open data portal OPSI as a discovery seed so users can see what is happening nearby. Real commercial ticketing flows through events published in the app by verified organisers. The work includes an analysis of existing solutions and user needs, architectural design, implementation of geofencing logic, and an evaluation of the user experience.
