Idejna zasnova prenove objekta Športnega društva Polje

Magistrska naloga obravnava prostorski in programski potencial Športnega društva Polje, ki je zgodovinsko predstavljalo osrednji generator družbenega življenja v lokalni skupnosti, danes pa se sooča s prostorsko dotrajanostjo, krčenjem dejavnosti in postopno izgubo svoje vloge v kolektivni zavesti prebivalcev. Četrtna skupnost Polje se kljub demografski rasti sooča z izrazitim strukturnim nesorazmerjem, saj prevladujočo športno infrastrukturo spremlja velika podhranjenost prostorov za kulturne dejavnosti, hkrati pa lokalni javni servisi in izobraževalne ustanove zaznavajo resno prostorsko stisko. Glavni cilj naloge je zasnovati arhitekturno prenovo objekta in revitalizacijo pripadajočega območja v sodoben, hibridni kulturno-rekreacijski center. Z integracijo novih vsebin in programsko diverzifikacijo projekt teži k oblikovanju odprtega javnega prostora, ki bo presegel sedanjo monotonost, se aktivno povezal z okolico ter deloval kot sekundarno vozlišče lokalnega dogajanja, ki ključno krepi socialno kohezijo, medgeneracijsko povezovanje in občutek pripadnosti lokalni skupnosti.

• Title: Conceptual design for the renovation of the Polje Sports Club facility

Abstract

This master's thesis addresses the spatial and programmatic potential of the Polje Sports Association, an organization that historically served as a central driver of social life within the local community but currently faces physical deterioration, a reduction in activities, and a gradual loss of its role in the collective consciousness of local residents. Despite its demographic growth, the Polje district suffers from a distinct structural imbalance, as a dominant presence of sports infrastructure is contrasted by a severe deficit in spaces dedicated to cultural activities, while local public services and educational institutions simultaneously experience critical space shortages. The primary objective of this thesis is to design the architectural renovation of the facility and revitalize the surrounding area into a modern, hybrid cultural and recreational center. Through programmatic diversification and the integration of new content, the project aims to create an open public space that transcends current monotony, actively engages with its surroundings, and functions as a secondary hub for local activity that crucially fosters social cohesion, intergenerational connection, and a sense of community belonging.
