Primerjava dolgoročnih učinkov različnih vrst ekscentrične in pliometrične vadbe na mišično arhitekturo

Abstract
Vadbene intervencije, usmerjene v izboljšanje mišične zmogljivosti, povzročajo arhitekturne spremembe mišično-tetivnega kompleksa, vključno s spremembami dolžine mišičnih fasciklov, penacijskega kota, debeline in volumna mišic. Z različnimi pristopi, kot sta ekscentrična in pliometrična vadba, lahko ciljno vplivamo na arhitekturne prilagoditve. Namen pregleda je bil primerjati učinke ekscentrične in pliometrične vadbe na mišično arhitekturo. Sistematično smo pregledali podatkovno zbirko PubMed (Medline) in vključili eksperimentalne raziskave, ki so proučevale dolgoročne učinke ekscentrične ali pliometrične vadbe. V končno analizo smo zajeli deset raziskav, objavljenih med letoma 2009 in 2024. Ugotovitve kažejo, da visoko intenzivna ekscentrična vadba z večjim številom ponovitev in počasnim tempom izvedbe do odpovedi ali blizu te povečuje dolžino fasciklov. Po drugi strani pliometrična vadba nakazuje, da pogostejša in intenzivnejša vadba v krajšem časovnem obdobju vodi do izrazitejšega povečanja v dolžini fasciklov v primerjavi z manj intenzivno vadbo. Ekscentrična vadba je povezana z zmanjšanjem penacijskega kota, medtem ko pliometrična vadba kaže trend njegovega povečanja. Daljše izvajanje ekscentrične vadbe z večjim številom vadbenih enot tedensko vodi do povečanja mišične debeline in volumna, medtem ko lahko pliometrična vadba z večjo količino skokov prav tako pozitivno vpliva na njeno povečanje. Pregled literature nakazuje usmerjenost obeh vadbenih metod k specifičnim arhitekturnim prilagoditvam, vendar so za natančnejšo opredelitev vadbenih parametrov potrebne nadaljnje raziskave, ki bodo odpravile nekatere metodološke pomanjkljivosti dozdajšnjih študij.

Title:Comparison of the long-term effects of different types of eccentric and plyometric exercise on muscle architecture
Abstract:
Training interventions aimed at enhancing muscle performance induce architectural changes in the muscle-tendon complex, including alterations in fascicle length, pennation angle, muscle thickness, and muscle volume. Through different approaches, such as eccentric and plyometric training, it is possible to target architectural adaptations. This review compares the effects of eccentric and plyometric training on muscle architecture. A systematic search of the PubMed (Medline) database identified experimental studies examining the long-term effects of these training modalities. Ten studies published between 2009 and 2024 met the inclusion criteria. Findings indicate that high-intensity eccentric training with a higher number of repetitions and a slow execution tempo, performed to or near failure, increases fascicle length. In contrast, plyometric training appears to lead to greater increases in fascicle length when performed more frequently and at higher intensity over a shorter period, compared to lower-intensity protocols. Eccentric training is associated with a decrease in pennation angle, whereas plyometric training shows a trend toward increasing it. Additionally, longer-term eccentric training, combined with a higher number of weekly sessions, leads to increases in muscle thickness and volume, while plyometric training with a greater volume of jumps may also have a positive effect on these outcomes. The literature review suggests that both training methods elicit specific architectural adaptations. However, further research is needed to precisely define training parameters while addressing some methodological limitations present in existing studies.
