The thesis addresses the upgrade of the clamping program for automated welding fixtures and the development of functionalities for more efficient system configuration and testing. It presents the structure of the clamping program, the definition of valves, cylinders, and presence sensors, as well as the integration of data with the HMI interface.
The central part of the thesis focuses on the development of a program for the automatic import of data from a CSV file exported from EPLAN, which automates the entry of clamping element data into the software structure. The developed solution reduces the need for manual data entry and minimizes the possibility of configuration errors.
The thesis also presents the implementation of a dry run test functionality for welding fixtures, which enables verification of the correct operation of the clamping sequence based on execution time or the number of cycles. The program’s operation was verified using simulation tools and system testing.
