Uporaba bližnje infrardeče spektroskopije za spremljanje longitudinalnih sprememb pri vzdržljivostnem treningu : sistematični pregled literature

Abstract
Bližnja infrardeča spektroskopija (NIRS) se uveljavlja kot obetavna neinvazivna metoda za spremljanje lokalnih mišičnih prilagoditev na vzdržljivostni trening. Cilj tega sistematičnega pregleda je bil kvalitativno pregledati pristope k spremljanju mišičnih prilagoditev na vzdržljivostni trening in oceniti uporabnost NIRS za spremljanje uspešnosti prilagoditev v trenažnem procesu. V pregled je bilo vključenih šest študij. Rezultati kažejo veliko heterogenost v metodoloških pristopih k analizi parametrov NIRS in v izbiri testnih protokolov. Kljub tem razlikam se kaže uporabnost NIRS pri zaznavanju lokalnih prilagoditev, kot so izboljšana mikrovaskularna ekstrakcija kisika, izboljšana kinetika reoksigenacije in adaptacije na ravni žilnega sistema. Parametri NIRS so se izkazali kot obetavni kazalniki lokalnih mišičnih prilagoditev, saj skupaj s sistemskimi kazalniki vzdržljivosti ponujajo dodaten vpogled v športnikove fiziološke prilagoditve. Kljub spodbudnim rezultatom literatura ostaja metodološko raznolika, z različnimi pristopi k testiranju, analizi podatkov in uporabljeni terminologiji. Pri NIRS se sicer kažejo možnosti za prenos v prakso, vendar so za uspešnost uporabe v vsakdanji športni praksi potrebne nadaljnje raziskave za boljše razumevanje povezav med NIRS in sistemskimi parametri vzdržljivosti, kot je največji ali maksimalni privzem kisika. NIRS kaže potencial kot dopolnilna metoda za spremljanje trenažnega statusa pri vzdržljivostnih športnikih, saj omogoča oceno lokalnih prilagoditev mišic, ki so ključne za načrtovanje, programiranje in optimizacijo vadbenega procesa.

Title:Using near-infrared spectroscopy to monitor longitudinal training adaptations in endurance training : a systematic review
Abstract:
Near-infrared spectroscopy is emerging as a promising non-invasive method for monitoring local muscular adaptations to endurance training. The aim of this systematic review was to qualitatively examine approaches to track muscular adaptations and to assess the utility of NIRS in evaluating peripheral muscular adaptations to training. Six studies met the inclusion criteria. Results revealed substantial heterogenity in the methodologies, testing protocols, and NIRS data analysis procedures. Despite these differences, findings consistently demonstrated that NIRS is effective in detecting local adaptations, including improved microvascular oxygen extraction capacity, enhanced reoxygenation kinetics, and vascular remodeling. NIRS-derived parameters appear to be valuable indicators of muscular adaptations, offering complementary insights when combined with systemic measures such as maximal oxygen uptake. Although the evidence is encouraging, the current literature remains methodologically diverse, and standardized protocols and terminology is lacking. Further research is needed to clarify the relationship between NIRS-derived parameters and systemic endurance markers. Overall, NIRS shows considerable potential as a complementary tool for monitoring training status in endurance athletes, enabling the assessment of local muscular adaptations critical for optimizing the training process.
