Abstract
Pridobljeni podatki so bili statistično obdelani s Pearsonovo korelacijsko analizo in analizo glavnih komponent (PCA) v programu OriginPro.

Title:The Use of Principal Component Analysis to Interpret the Results of DSC Analysis of Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate
Abstract:
In this thesis, the thermal properties of mechanically recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) were investigated using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). A total of 58 rPET samples obtained from rPET InWaste, s.r.o., Czech Republic, were analyzed. Measurements were performed with a Mettler Toledo DSC 5+ calorimeter following a cyclic temperature program of heating, cooling, and reheating. Temperatures and enthalpies of crystallization, cold crystallization, and melting were determined from the DSC measurements. The data were statistically processed using Pearson correlation analysis and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) in OriginPro. The results revealed correlations between individual thermal parameters and showed that crystallization and melting parameters clustered into distinct groups. The most pronounced clustering of samples was observed by degree of degradation. The distribution of samples with the highest degree of degradation is primarily related to the enthalpy of fusion, enthalpy of crystallization, and the onset and peak temperatures of crystallization.
