This master’s thesis explores the role of sensory and experiential design in the development of a premium product identity. The primary objective is to examine how the integration of sensory perception, multisensory experience, and emotional and affective user responses influences product evaluation and contributes to the formation of a holistic user experience. The thesis also addresses the design of a guided multisensory experience and the use of storytelling as a strategic approach in shaping visual identity and brand communication.
The practical component of the project involves the development of a new brand concept with a clearly defined target audience. The overall process encompasses the creation of a visual identity system, packaging design, selection of materials and printing techniques, and the incorporation of interactive sensory elements into a structured experiential framework.
The purpose of this research is to investigate how the systematic integration of sensory and emotional dimensions as inherent components of the design process can transcend purely aesthetic considerations and establish a deeper, multisensory experience. Such an approach contributes to strengthening brand identity and fostering a more meaningful emotional connection between the user and the product. The project also aims to highlight the complexity of production processes and to promote appreciation of traditional methods, dedication, and craftsmanship essential to the creation of a high-quality distilled beverage.
