Community responses to urban overheating in Singapore

Urban overheating is one of the main climate challenges facing Singapore. The greening of Cambridge Road is an innovative neighbourhood community response to urban overheating in the city. This project shows that community climate action depends on access to resources, knowledge transfer and social learning among stakeholders. Moreover, the project highlights the importance of sustained institutional support for community climate action which benefits not only neighbourhood community resilience, but also that of the city as a whole.
