Abstract
Rezultati so bili kartografsko prikazani in primerjani s statističnimi regijami.

Title:Analysis of changes in labour mobility areas by gender in Slovenia between 2015 and 2023
Abstract:
This master’s thesis examines changes in travel-to-work areas in Slovenia between 2015 and 2023, with a special emphasis on differences between the male and female working populations. The purpose of the thesis is to analyse the spatial organisation of labour flows, identify changes over time, and examine how these areas are shaped by gender. The analysis is based on data on daily commuting flows between municipalities, obtained from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, and on the application of the CURDS method in the R programming environment. The areas were modelled for five time periods (2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023), separately for the total population, men, and women. The results were presented cartographically and compared with statistical regions. The findings indicate that the spatial structure of the areas changed unevenly over the respective periods. At the national level, a relatively high degree of stability was observed, with most significant changes in northeastern and western Slovenia, as well as in peripheral and transitional areas. The analysis indicated that areas were generally fewer in number and spatially larger for men, and more numerous, smaller, and more locally differentiated for women. Gender differences are evident in the number, size, and dynamics of changes in areas over time. The results contribute to a better understanding of the functional spatial organisation and can be used for economic development and strategic spatial planning.
